The pandemic has caused an economic downturn around the world and churches were no exception, they were affected by being temporarily closed and some institutions need funds to survive.
For this reason, Father Miguel Alvizures decided this year 2021 to carry out a pilgrimage with the aim of raising funds to finance the project “Colegio La Montañita” which is located in Joya Honda, Palencia, Guatemala where the Father is from. In this school education and food are provided to 98 children totally free.

La pandemia ha provocado una recesión económica en todo el mundo y las iglesias no fueron la excepción, se vieron afectadas por el cierre temporal y algunas instituciones necesitan fondos para sobrevivir. Por ello, el Padre Miguel Alvizures decidió este año 2021 realizar una romería con el objetivo de recaudar fondos para financiar el proyecto “Colegio La Montañita” que se encuentra ubicado en Joya Honda, Palencia, Guatemala de donde es el Padre. En esta escuela se brinda educación y alimentación a 98 niños de forma totalmente gratuita.
This week, the House Committee on Appropriations will mark up the Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies (LHHS) appropriations bill, which currently excludes the 46-year-old Hyde Amendment and other longstanding, bipartisan provisions including the Weldon Amendment. Eliminating these provisions would force taxpayers to pay for elective abortions and force health care providers and professionals to perform and refer for abortion against their deeply-held beliefs, as well as force employers and insurers to cover and pay for abortion.
